Is Perfume Vegan and Cruelty-Free?

Vegan and cruelty-free perfume has come A LONG way in the last few years. No more are the times of using a few essential oils and hoping for the best. It seems like fragrance brands are always adding to their lines, giving us more options More cruelty-free fragrance brands are also coming onto the market. The perfumes listed smell like luxury perfumes and to be honest, I don’t think you will miss out on non-vegan and non-cruelty scents using these. Here are some of my top picks.

Pinrose

Pinrose is a cruelty-free perfume company, as well as 100% vegan! I haven’t tried a Pinrose scent I didn’t like! My top picks are Merry Maker, Lil’ Dipper, Secret Genius, Pillowtalk Poet, and Mystical Misfit. I personally recommend buying a sampler kit and choosing a scent you love that way. Their products are available at Sephora and Ulta.

Sol De Janeiro

I love using Sol De Janeiro scents as an everyday scent. One of their main notes is vanilla and I love how they pair well with other scents. Their products are available at Ulta as well as their own site. You can find a full Sol De Janeiro vegan product list here.

The 7 Virtues

The 7 Virtues is a cruelty-free perfume company that is also 100% vegan. My top picks are Vanilla Woods (perfect everyday scent,) Blackberry Lily, and Patchouli Citrus. I recommend getting a sampler pack and choosing your favorite. Their products are available at Sephora.

Sol Body

Sol Body is Colourpop’s body care sister brand. They recently came out with fragrance roll-ons in full sizes and a sampler kit. My favorite scent is Sea Bloom which has jasmine and has a nice floral scent.

DefineMe Fragrance

DefineMe is a fragrance brand that is cruelty-free and 100% vegan. My top picks are Sofia Isabel and Audry. I recommend getting a sampler pack and choosing your favorite. Their products are available at Ulta as well as their own website.

 Pacifica

Pacifica is a brand that is 100% vegan so you don’t have to worry about checking ingredients when you shop their products. These perfumes are more on the natural side, but they have some really nice blends that are perfect for an everyday scent. My favorite scents are Breath Taking (notes of cardamom and pepper), Dream Moon (patchouli, sandalwood, and pink rose), and Flower Moon (jasmine, peach, and vanilla). Their products are affordable and available at Target, Ulta as well as their own website.

lush perfume

Lush

Lush perfumes are also more on the natural side but they can either pack a punch or be a little more subtle. I love their scents Karma and Lust. I love using their body sprays Rose Jam and Twilight and I use them as an air/linen refresher as well! Not all Lush products are vegan, so keep that in mind when you are shopping. Their products are available at their own stores as well as their website.

    Hi Jess!
Pacifica is super handy (favorite is Indian Coconut Nectar), and they layer easily. My favorite perfume company is Possets, and my favorites are Passion, Chocolate Incense, Silver Vanilla, and Hophead. Recently I discovered Sucreabeille, and found 3 really nice scents: Troll Food, Pear Tree, and Strangeling. Fyrrinae has a fair amount of perfume products, but I didn’t care for the ones I picked out, but have plans to rehome them!
